MLRC is delighted to welcome Mary Ann Sullivan, who will be working with us until April on a placement with us as part of her Clinical Legal Education Programme at NUI Galway. Mary Ann is a final year student of the Bachelor of Civil Law at NUI Galway. She has a keen interest in housing law and policy, which she is studying as one of her final year elective subjects. Mary Ann has already made a great contribution to our work!
MLRC is delighted to participate in NUI Galway’s Clinical Legal Education programme, and that of University College Dublin and Trinity College Dublin. These programmes, in giving students an opportunity to experience working in legal practice, and with us, in an independent law centre environment, give students an important opportunity to experience working in public interest law, and, we hope inspire them for the future!
Thank you to Larry Donnelly, director of NUI Galway’s Clinical Legal Education Programme, for inviting MLRC to participate in the placement programme. We look forward to Mary Ann’s time with MLRC, supporting our legal work for those who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
