Housing Group launched Booklet on 18th April 2012

MLRC has, together with other members of a Housing Policy Group, prepared a Housing Information Booklet  “Social Housing Rights Explained”

It was launched on the 18th April in the Wood Quay Venue, Dublin City Council Civic Offices, Wood Quay, Dublin 8.   There was a large attendance on the morning and they heard presentations from Clare Naughton (Solicitor at NCLC), Frank Murphy (Solicitor at BCLC), Sinead Martin Rialto Rights in Action , Jan O’Sullivan Minister for Housing and Planning and Andrew Montague, the Lord Mayor of Dublin who officially launched the booklet click here to read more.

FEANTSA’s Ending Homelessness Campaign

In the framework of the 2010 European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion, FEANTSA launched a campaign called ‘Ending Homelessness’. Throughout Europe, our members organised campaign activities around the central message of this campaign, which is that homelessness can and should be ended, click here to read more.

Housing Conference held on 20th & 21st April

Bernie Walsh and Geraldine Hynes attended the Housing Conference in NUI Galway at the weekend.  The Centre for Housing Law, Rights and Policy,  saw international speakers and participants  debate the central theme of the Conference which was “Contemporary Housing Issues in a Changing Europe”.  We will have more on this in our Blog next week.
